Placing an order on our website confirms that you agree with the following return policy:
Minimum online orders $50.00. All returns must have prior authorization by Emerald City Espresso Machines. Products may be returned within 14 days of delivery date. Returns must be unused and in brand new condition and able to be sold as new. All the original packaging and original contents included, as well as the original invoice. No returns on special orders. No returns or exchanges on commercial machines.
There is a 25% restocking fee for returns that meet these conditions. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges, including items that have free shipping.
Please clearly indicate reason for your return, with original invoice, credit card number, expiration date, address, and daytime and evening phone numbers.
Shipping within the US. and Canada only.
In the unusual situation that an item is damaged is shipment, it is the buyer's responsibility to follow these procedures:
Notify Emerald City Espresso Machines as soon as possible to report damage. Do not attempt to use the item. In order to process a claim with shipper, all shipping and packing materials including original box must be kept with damaged item.
All Internet sales on new equipment include a warranty from the manufacturer. In general, the manufacturer's warranty is one year on parts against factory defects. Manufacturer's warranties only apply to machines used in the US. Since we use different manufacturers who may have different warranties, contact us regarding the warranties on specific items. In most cases, shipping is at the buyer's expense. Some items have an option of purchasing a service plan that includes a labor warranty. There is an extra charge for service plans; contact us for details.
The manufacturer's warranty does NOT include:
* Defects caused by negligence or user error, including but not limited to - not reading the owner's manual or instructions included with the item.
* Damage caused by lack of employee training, or use of an item for a purpose not intended by the manufacturer.
* Problems caused by using a machine intended for "home use" in a commercial setting.
* Damage caused by poor water quality (hard or unfiltered water) in espresso machines.
* Damage caused by lack of cleaning or maintenance.
* Problems caused by "over filling" gelato and ice cream machines.
* Wear and tear items (such as gaskets, etc)
Items received defective
All equipment is tested either at the country of manufacture, the importer's location, or by the technicians at Emerald City Espresso Machines. In the unusual case that an item is received defective, keep all packing materials and contact Emerald City Espresso Machines at 1-888-935-0663 to determine if the problem is operator error or an actual problem. Emerald City Espresso Machines will make every effort to insure an actual problem is corrected, limited to manufacturer's policies.
